Question:

Accounting Period out of sequence when running recurring quarterly batch.

A quarterly requiring item batch needs to be run for 06/2013. The last time we run this batch was in December 2013, March 2013 does not need to be process.

Yesterday, when Ana tried to run the batch for June 2013 the system give her a message saying **ACCOUNTING PERIOD OUT OF SEQUENCE – LAST POSTED WAS 2012-12** and the batch was rejected. She proceeded by going to Supervisor Functions and as a mistake she change the last posted date to 6/2013 instead of 3/2013.
The system, now carried June 2013 as the last posting date and does not let us change it to March 2013.

How can we proceed and change the last posting date to March 2013 for recurring items and run the June 2013 recurring quarterly checks.

Resolution:

The system will not let you change the last posted period to an earlier period. The only way to do this would be for us to directly access the file on your system.

Unfortunately your user entered the wrong date and the system doesn't let you go back to a previous date since this could allow the batches to be posted twice for the same date.
