Why am I not able to select 3rd level reporting for my P&L reports?

Question:

Why am I not able to select 3rd level reporting for my P&L reports?

When I type in the "3" on the reporting level line and press enter, it highlights the "3". A red XII appears in the lower left hand corner of the screen and underneath that in the toolbar sections it says "Reporting level selected is not installed".

Resolution:

You are getting that message because your profile settings say that you are not using the 3rd (dept) level in GL.

If you are now using that level then take these menu options from the main menu:
option #1 General Functions
option #7 Setup Profiles
option #2  General Profile Y/N Fields

Use area GL
Press F17
Set #10 to "Y", press Enter and then F20
If you are using the 4th level (job) then set #11 to "Y" also.
